Lightning's speech feature allows your computer to read documents and provide additional reading support for users with low vision. Hear what you have typed letter-by-letter or word-by-word, change the speed and voice, and repeat what you have just heard.

Lightning with Speech will speak all Windows menus and dialog boxes, allowing full control of your computer. And will do so using RealSpeak voices which are based on real human speech and sounds, thus sounding far less robotic than you may imagine.

CD or USB version? You don't need to choose, you get both

In the box, you get both a CD and a USB version of Lightning with Speech. This gives complete portability, with no need to instal any files on the host PC. Just plug in the USB stick and go. For computers without a USB port, you can install the software conventionally using the supplied CD installation.

Lightning is compatible with Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, Windows Calculator, Messenger, Anti Virus programs and more. In fact Lightning with Speech should speak the text from any accessible software program running on your computer. With the free internet browsing tool, WebbIE, included in the package, Lightning with Speech can offer speech assistance with web browsing on accessible websites.
