Clicking on words is a rapid, easy-to-use interface which facilitates active learning - and better end results for the learner.
Wordbar provides rapid point-and-click access to literally thousands of words. It also includes advanced speech technology (software speech) that audibly relates phrases or words before a user writes. The learner can use speech voices for other languages (upon purchasing other spefically created audio products), or record their own speech.
Both words and phrases are organised into tabs - just click on a tab to see a different set of words.
Wordbar version 2 is now available and includes these features:
- New file templates and grid templates at different heights, suitable for all age ranges
- Remembers not only the speech engine, but also the font for each Wordbar
- Change the height of tabs for improved visibility
- Send a Tab, Enter/Return or Space after the text when you click it
- Child-friendly Sassoon font included for new users who buy the CD-ROM
- Easy network support - even create a shortcut to each user's My Documents folder!
There's also a Tablet PC Edition of Wordbar 2!!
The Tablet PC edition is designed to temporarily replace your Input Panel, so you can use Wordbar for input instead.
When you edit cells, a small input panel appears so you can enter text. The same happens when you want to highlight any editable text - for example, when you want to change a grid's name on one of the tabs.
There are also some extra preferences in the Tablet PC edition. You can right-click on a cell to edit it, and hover over a cell to hear it spoken.
