If it is difficult for you to read printed material from textbooks, magazines or the internet, then Kurzweil 3000 will provide text to speech facilities. Kurzweil 3000 offers a combined scanning and reading application that lets you convert printed text into audio feedback simply and easily. Because of its accurate and reliable OCR engine, Kurzweil 3000 is capable of reproducing text on screen, with pictures, as it appears on paper. It also helps reading and learning to read by highlighting both the line and word as it is read.
Kurzweil 3000 also includes a number of study skills tools such as bookmarks, highlighting and sticky notes, which help users improve reading comprehension. Because it can store the settings of each user, Kurzweil 3000 is particularly useful for resource centres.
